Manufacturing Technician
- Location: Syracuse, New York (Not Remote)
- Employment Type: Full Time/Day Shift, Monday - Friday, Non-Exempt, No Remote
- Position Description: This position will support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day transactions, including expenses and accounts payables/receivables. Responsibilities include assisting with job costs, compliance, and grant paperwork as needed.
- Wage: Base pay range is $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
- Responsibilities:
- Receive glass shipments, conduct a quality inspection, and organize/store in an orderly manner in accordance with Supervision’s priorities
- Conduct routine maintenance/cleaning of all machinery and equipment related to the production process
- Load glass onto the in-feed table, keeping in mind the set dimensions (within the markers on the in-feed table) of the Glass Washer and Laminator, to ensure optimal safety and efficiency.
- Manually operate the Glass Washer to thoroughly clean each piece of glass as it passes through the in-feed and into the Clean Room
- Operate the Laminator with all safety protocols in place while keeping a keen eye on attention to detail as the glass completes the production process.
- Trim each piece of glass, ensuring there is no leftover laminate on the edges that could potentially damage the glass.
- Organize pieces of glass by dimension and project name / address and keep an accurate record of any discrepancies, wasted or scrap laminate and the total number of pieces run through the Laminator.
- Record order of operations through Trello to keep track of order and its whereabouts within the process
- Maintain the cleanliness of all immediate workstations and other various areas as applicable.
- Keep inventory of production materials, cleaning supplies and available tools needed to complete your tasks.
- Stage glass in the designated shipping area, so the project can be properly inspected one last time and placed in a crate for shipment.
- Routine building maintenance and cleaning.
- Abide by all Personal Protection & Equipment procedures at all times.
- Abide by all Clean room procedures at all times.
- Education and Experience:
- Valid Driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.

- Basic to Intermediate Excel skills and an ability to analyze and use critical thinking skills on a regular basis.

- Position Description: This position, under the direction of the Director of Sales, is responsible for estimating and project management support for glass manufacturing, as well as quality data entry support.
- Wage: Base pay range is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Responsibilities:
- Support the account management team with projects and initiatives.
- Create glass estimates per protocol.
- Order processing, Price Order creation, and invoicing.
- Utilize Estimate Tracker for reporting.
- Utilize Google Drive and Google Stream for the file management and documentation.
- Communicate within the company regarding the product and job flow processes.
- Attend meetings within the department for planning, training, and client management.
- Provide information about products and services over the phone, via email, or in live chat.
- Arrange shipments and assist with claims and return process.
- Basic customer support via email and phone communications.
- Data entry support for Quality/Supply Chain.
- Complete site surveys per company policy for field service installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
