FACE SHIELDS - MADE IN AMERICA
AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF PROTECTION AGAINST COVID-19
Helping to save lives during the pandemic.
A 2014 study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene found that face shields reduced immediate viral exposure by up to 96 percent.
Armoured One began producing optical grade face shields that do not distort your vision in response to the COVID-19 epidemic. Our safety and defense company quickly pivoted our usual production of safety glass products to supply frontline workers with this essential Personal Protection Equipment. Since then, we have donated thousands of face shields to healthcare workers and educators in need and are now offering our premium face shields to the general public, companies, schools, and hospitals.
ARE FACE SHIELDS EFFECTIVE?
Face shields can be an additional layer of protection against COVID-19, along with wearing a face mask, practicing safe social distancing and washing your hands regularly.
Because face shields extend down from the forehead, shields protect the eyes as well as the nose and mouth. The coverage that face shields offer is ideal since the coronavirus can enter the body through those points.
If you sneeze or cough, a face shield minimizes the distance that the aerosol travels. In doing so you will be lowering the risk of transmitting it to someone in the vicinity.
Wearing a face shield may make you less likely to touch your face with unwashed — and potentially contaminated — hands, too.
